Young Professionals Volunteer in Minneapolis

SMME Rotary is a group of young professionals who take time each month to participate in a volunteer community service event in the Minneapolis metropolitan area.

As young professionals, we may not have the financial power to make a difference with our checkbook, but we have the energy and motivation to make a difference by getting our hands dirty and volunteering in order to give back to the communities around Minneapolis.

Over the past four years, SMME Rotary has volunteered with numerous different organizations throughout Minneapolis and the Twin Cities Metro.  SMME has worked with: Youthlink, Lincoln International School, Special Olympics, Courage Center, Oasis for Youth, Camp Enterprise, ShelterBox, ICA Foodshelf, Feed My Starving Children, VEAP Foodshelf, and many other organizations.  Volunteer events have included mentoring youth, cooking meals, painting, landscaping, packing meals, helping to organize events, etc.

Members can work with the Community Service Chairperson in order to provide the club with volunteer opportunities with different non-profits each month so that each of our young professional members feels that they are making a difference in and around Minneapolis.

If you’re a young professional who would like to volunteer in Minneapolis and the surrounding metropolitan area, feel free to reach out to us by clicking on the “Contact Us” tab above.  Our Membership Chairperson will prompty respond to your inquiry.  You can also take a look at the “Calendar” tab above and just drop in for any of our meetings or events.  We always welcome visitors.  SMME Rotary is a great place for young professionals to meet like-minded people in the Minneapolis area.  We look forward to meeting new people and working with them to make our community a better place.
