Membership

The South Metro Minneapolis Evenings Rotary Club (SMME) is made up of a fantastic group of passionate, energetic, and responsible professionals from the Twin Cities! Our club prides itself on having a non-traditional membership base, meaning we have a “younger” average age than most Rotary Clubs, but anyone is welcome to participate and join our club!  We keep our yearly dues low because we want to keep our club accessible to all ages, professions, and incomes.

Members enjoy a variety of benefits- in addition to growing their global community and creating meaningful relationships, our members have opportunities for international travel and self-exploration.  Members are encouraged to engage with Rotarians of the other 60+ clubs in District 5950.  There are ample opportunities for members to enhance their leadership, public speaking, and event coordination skills as well as training and seminars to learn more about Rotary provided at no cost to members.

We have a lot to offer members:

• Want to travel?  Cool – come to Kenya with us in 2019 for our Global Grant!

• New to the area and looking to meet people? Awesome – a lot of us hang out outside of Rotary and are an instant resource/support group!

• Want to find a mentor or network with professionals? We’ve got that too! Attending District events expands your networks, as well as checking out other clubs.

• Want to use your talents or develop skills? Check! Practice your public speaking, bolster your resume with leadership experience, share your profession, utilize your connections, and Rotary’s, to make the world a better place.

• Want to give back to your community and the WORLD??  DONE!  There are so many ways to give back through Rotary!
